How to buy and sell crypto

First, you log in to your Blockrise dashboard.

 

How to buy

Once logged in, follow these steps:

  1. In the left menu, go to "Brokerage"
  2. To buy crypto with euros, fill in the amount of euros you would like to use to buy crypto with on the left side. If you'd like to swap crypto (for example, buy Ethereum using your Bitcoin balance), click on the green EUR button to change currencies.
  3. On the right side, you can choose what kind of crypto you'd like to buy. Right below, you will find an estimate of the fees for this transaction and a breakdown of how this is estimated. The total fee consists of a trading fee (for using Blockrise's services) and a blockchain fee, which is paid to the network. We cannot influence the network fees. 
  4. Click on Buy at the bottom.
  5. You will be asked to carefully check and confirm the transaction. 
  6. Sign the transaction using your Blockrise Seed or Blockrise App to authorize the trade.
  7. Once the transaction is signed, Blockrise will execute the trade on your behalf, ensuring that the purchased crypto assets are securely added to your account. This can take up to a few hours, depending on the network, since all our trades are on-chain transactions processed on the blockchain. 

How to sell

  1. In the left menu, go to "Brokerage"
  2. On the left-hand side, click on the green EUR button and change it to the cryptocurrency you would like to sell, and fill in the amount. It shows your current balance just under that button you just clicked to switch currencies.
  3. On the right-hand side, the currency has now automatically been switched to EUR. This means you will receive euros for your cryptocurrency. 
  4. Right under the sell menu, you will find an estimate of the fees for this transaction and a breakdown of how this is estimated. The total fee consists of a trading fee (for using Blockrise's services) and a blockchain fee, which is paid to the network. We cannot influence the network fees. 
  5. At the bottom, you will find the "Sell" button. 
  6. After clicking the Sell button, you will be asked to carefully check and confirm the transaction. 
  7. Sign the transaction using your Blockrise Seed or Blockrise App to authorize the trade.
  8. Once the transaction is signed, Blockrise will execute the trade on your behalf. This can take up to a few hours, depending on the network, since all our trades are on-chain transactions processed on the blockchain. Once it has been processed, you will find your euros on your euro balance.
