How to create a strong password

A unique and strong password forms an important security layer for your Blockrise account. To protect your account as well as possible, Blockrise has set several requirements for your password.

Requirements for your password

Blockrise requires their clients to create a password with several requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 characters and a maximum of 128 characters.
  • At least one uppercase character.
  • At least one lowercase character.
  • At least one special character.
  • At least one number.

How do I choose a good password?

Blockrise highly recommends their clients to use password management software, such as Bitwarden. A password manager generates, saves, and secures unique passwords for all your accounts.

If you prefer not to use a password manager, you can use these tips to create a strong password:

  • Make sure to use a long and random password that is unique to your Blockrise account.
  • Do not reuse a password from another account.
  • Do not use common words, names, or phrases, that originate from dictionaries, book titles, film quotes, street names, etc. Hackers have access to sophisticated databases with such terms.
  • Do not use personal information. Personal information is often publicly available and can be used by hackers to guess your password.
  • Take into consideration the above requirements for a strong password
