How to make your account more secure
Blockrise is committed to providing the highest form of security for your account. Besides our own security measures, you can take additional steps to protect your account. Below are some best practices to enhance the security of your Blockrise account.
Create a strong password
Using a unique password containing a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols is crucial to securing your account. Avoid using common words, phrases, or personal information that can be easily guessed.
Secure your email account
Your email account is the primary means of communication with Blockrise and is used for account recovery. Make sure it is safe by:
- Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for your email account.
- Periodically checking if your email account has been compromised through haveibeenpwned.com.
- Consider using a separate email address for Blockrise.
Keep your devices and software up-to-date
Regularly updating your computer, mobile device, and software applications is essential to avoid leaving vulnerabilities open for exploitation by hackers. Make sure to practice safe web browsing habits. Never click on suspicious links or download suspicious programs.
Safeguard your Blockrise Seed
The Blockrise Seed gives you absolute ownership over your crypto assets. Losing your Blockrise Seed means losing access to your crypto assets. Protect it well. You may also consider downloading the Blockrise App for iOS or Android as a substitute for your Blockrise Seed.
Secure your 2FA app
Every Blockrise client is obliged to install 2FA during the onboarding process. Make sure that 2FA is always enabled for your Blockrise account, and that nobody else has access to your 2FA app.
