How to pay invoices

Two ways to handle invoices

It is important to know that funds are either part of the asset management, or are held in the Blockrise Wallet. For both, different fees apply.

Our fees for asset management are handled differently than our invoices for the custody fees of funds that do not participate in the asset management. Please scroll down to see how those custody fees are invoiced. 

 

Fees for our asset management are deducted from your funds

The monthly invoice for asset management is paid automatically from the funds in the asset management portfolio. This will be settled during a rebalancing. Afterward, the history of the portfolio will indicate if or when an invoice has been paid.

This includes the management fee and the custody fee for funds that are part of our asset management services. There is a separate invoice for custody fees that are in your regular Blockrise wallet and do not participate in the crypto asset management service. 

 

Custody fees for the Blockrise Wallet: switching payment methods

Note that this section is only applicable to funds that are held in the Blockrise Wallet and are NOT a part of the crypto asset management services.

At Blockrise, we offer two payment methods: manually or automatically. With manual payments, you can pay with either euros (via iDeal) or cryptocurrencies paid from your current balance. You have to make manual payments for each invoice. 

If you pick automatically, your invoices will be billed from your bank account using SEPA direct debit (automatisch incasso in Dutch). 

How to set your preferred payment method

  1. Log in to the dashboard
  2. Click on your name in the top right corner of the menu bar and select "profile"
  3. Under "financial details" you can select either manually or automatically as your preferred payment method. 
  4. If you choose automatically, please ensure you have a bank account verified with us. 

Steps to pay invoices manually

To pay an invoice through the Blockrise dashboard, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the dashboard
  2. Click on your name in the top right corner of the menu bar and select "invoices"
  3. You can find the invoice(s) with the status 'Unpaid' in the overview of your invoices.
  4. Click on the bank card button behind the invoice you want to pay.
  5. Choose whether to use Bitcoin or Euro to pay the invoice.

If you want more details about an invoice, you can download it by clicking on the download button behind the invoice. Blockrise sends monthly payment reminders to your email to ensure you don't miss any payment deadlines.
