What is the Blockrise App used for?

The Blockrise App is the primary way clients use their Blockrise account. It supports onboarding, buying and selling bitcoin, withdrawing euros and bitcoin, viewing your Fundamentals portfolio, managing your loan, and signing transactions. The dashboard remains available for a number of specific actions that are not yet in the app.

You can download the Blockrise App in the Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iOS).

What you can do in the Blockrise App

Complete your onboarding. Personal clients complete the full onboarding flow in the app, including identity verification, tax information, and agreement acceptance.

Buy and sell bitcoin. Place buy and sell orders directly in the app.

Withdraw euros to your bank account. Withdraw euros to a verified bank account, and register a new bank account from within the app.

Withdraw bitcoin to a whitelisted address. Withdraw bitcoin to an address that has been whitelisted on your account.

View your Fundamentals portfolio. If you are invested in a Fundamentals Portfolio, you can view your holdings and performance in the app.

View and repay your loan. If you have a bitcoin-backed loan, you can view its status in the app and repay it. The app displays the SEPA transfer details needed to complete the repayment.

Sign transactions. Transactions initiated on the dashboard are signed with the Blockrise App. See Signing transactions below for the two available methods.

View your Partner Program overview. If you are enrolled in the Blockrise Partner Program, you can find your referral code, program terms, statistics, and payout history in the app.

What still happens on the dashboard

A number of actions are not yet available in the app and are handled on the Blockrise dashboard:

  • Whitelisting a new bitcoin withdrawal address
  • Requesting a new bitcoin-backed loan or adding collateral to an existing loan
  • Joining or exiting a Fundamentals Portfolio
  • Paying an invoice from your wallet
  • Business account onboarding

Signing transactions

Any transaction that moves funds out of your wallet is signed with the Blockrise App. There are two ways to sign a transaction.

In-app signing. When a transaction is waiting for your signature, a banner appears on the home screen of your app. Open the transaction, review the amount, exchange rate, and fees, and confirm with your PIN code or biometrics.

To sign a transaction in the app:

  1. Open the Blockrise App and tap the banner on the home screen for the transaction awaiting your signature.
  2. Review the transaction details shown on screen.
  3. Confirm with your PIN code or biometrics to sign the transaction.

QR code signing. When a transaction is initiated on the dashboard, you can also sign it by scanning the QR code shown there.

To sign a transaction by scanning the QR code:

  1. Log in to your Blockrise App and select Sign with QR.
  2. Use the camera of your phone to scan the QR code displayed in the Blockrise dashboard.
  3. Compare the two codes that appear on your computer and phone screens. If they match, proceed with the transaction. If they do not match, contact our support team.
  4. Confirm with your PIN code or biometrics to sign the transaction.
