What is my personal IBAN?
Every individual client at Blockrise (EU only) has access to a personal IBAN. This is a bank account in the client's own name, used to manage everything related to euro on the Blockrise platform — from deposits and withdrawals to holding euro balances. Funds are held on this personal account rather than on a pooled custodial account.
There are no costs associated with the personal IBAN.
Where to find your IBAN
The personal IBAN is visible in the Blockrise platform under Accounts.
New clients
The personal IBAN is available immediately after completing the onboarding process. No additional steps are required.
Existing clients
Existing clients need to activate their personal IBAN. Once activated, euro balances are automatically transferred to your new personal IBAN.

Frequently asked questions
Is my deposit protected? Yes. Euro balances held on the personal IBAN are covered by the Dutch Deposit Guarantee Scheme (Depositogarantiestelsel), which protects deposits up to €100,000 per person per bank. The personal IBAN is provided by bunq, a licensed Dutch bank. Clients who already or plan to hold a seperate personal bunq account should be aware that the €100,000 limit applies to the combined balance across all accounts held at bunq.
Is this available for corporate accounts? The personal IBAN is currently available for individual clients only. Support for corporate accounts will be added at a later stage.
Are there any costs? No. There are no fees for the personal IBAN.
